John Spagnolo graduated from the University of Virginia in 1992 and embarked upon a career in the hospitality industry culminating with the co-founding of the Starr Hill Restaurant, Brewery, and Music Hall in 1999. In 2004, with five years of club operations experience and twelve years of management experience, Spagnolo continued further in the music industry as a Business Analyst at Musictoday and ultimately became the Product Manager for Musictoday’s e-commerce platform. During this period, Spagnolo co-founded an event production company, Cerberus Productions.
From 2005-2013, Cerberus Productions consulted to event promoters and operated its own events. Responsibilities ranged from advance consulting and planning, to on-site production, to post event reconciliation. Within the Cerberus Productions company, John’s role was primarily business management and information technology with on-site production experience at more than 40 events. He has experience in the following areas: Business accounting, Corporate strategy, Budgeting and financial forecasting, Corporate organization, Labor planning, hiring, training, and managing, Permitting and compliance, Business systems design and database application development, and Event access scheme development.
John joined Artistzen as a consultant in 2015 and as a full-time Business Manager and Director of our Festival Division in 2016. His event experience prior to Artistzen includes:
